City of Cincinnati

There is much more to "Queen City" than the popular TV sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati may have led you to believe. Founded in 1788, the city is home to more than 330,000 people and covers roughly 80 square miles. It is the third largest city in the state of Ohio, trailing behind Columbus and Cleveland. The city's government consists of the mayor and nine city council members (elected at large). Council committees deal with a wide range of issues including public education and health, as well as economic and community development. The city is also home to major-league sports teams including baseball's Cincinnati Reds and the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals. Income tax makes up most of the city's $360,000+ annual budget.
