Pend Oreille Public Utility District

Pend Oreille PUD was established in 1936 and commenced operations in 1948. The District’s reporting entity consists of four primary component units, or operating systems. The Electric System distributes electricity to residential and other consumers in Pend Oreille County. The Box Canyon Production System produces hydroelectric power from the Box Canyon Hydroelectric Project. The Water System consists of nine individual water distribution subdivisions.
